Here at Tor Support Services we take your privacy seriously
TSS is the data controller for the information that we hold about our clients. We will collect information about you when you use our services and then keep it for a set period after this.
How we collect your information
A referral form is completed before you come to see us, with your contact details and the reasons you are coming for counselling. You (or if you are under 13, then an adult with parental responsibility) will indicate your legal consent by signing this. When you come for your first appointment with a counsellor you will complete a registration form with them, which also includes some health questions and explains our approach to confidentiality.
How we will use your information
We use your contact information to remind you of your counselling appointments or to let you know if your counsellor won’t be able to come to your appointment. We will use your other information to help the work that we do with you during counselling sessions.
How and where your data is kept
We keep your records securely in the TSS offices, whether on paper or on electronic devices. We will store your records for 7 years after your last session and then they will be destroyed.
Right of Access to your Data
You can ask to see the information that we hold about you, update the information or delete it at any time. The accuracy is important so if your contact details change, then please let us know.
